Hoosier Traction Meet, Inc. is a not-for-profit educational organization (Section 501C(3) of the US Internal Revenue Code) devoted to the study of and dissemination of information regarding electric railways (street railway, rapid transit and interurban) within the UNITED sTATES AND CANADA.
The 2020 HTM Meet information, Schedule of Events, and a Registration form will be posted as available when finalized. This will be a joint meeting of The Annual North America Transit History Meeting & The Doc Blackburn Hoosier Traction Meet.
To encourage study of the history, equipment and operation of urban, sub-urban and mainline electric railways. Hoosier Traction Meet, Inc. is incorporated under the laws of the State of Indiana as a not-for-profit technical and educational society and is governed by a board of directors. In carrying out the Hoosier Traction Meet's activities they are assisted by friends of the Hoosier Traction Meet.
Meetings are held the weekend after Labor Day at the Waterfront Plaza, 2930 Waterfront Parkway West Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46214. NOTE -- the hotel is no longer associated with Clarion, but is still open for business, the phone number on the information packet is still valid. The Conference Agenda of our next meeting (Friday and Saturday Sep 11 - 12, 2020), a schedule of events, registration form, and directions to the meeting site are now available.
